The Red Lion and Sun is a privately owned public house with two beer gardens, wood burning fire, daily changing menu, great wine list and whisky galore.
Our chefs serve freshly prepared and cooked meals every day from noon – 10pm.

Within a relaxed yet bustling and friendly atmosphere our chefs create, prepare and cook meals daily for our constantly changing seasonal menu.
Our menu can be described as rustic modern British pub food. All our meats are supplied supplied by Phyllis and Lee Harper at Highgate Butchers, and all other produce is carefully sourced from respected producers, locally wherever possible.

COTEAUX DE LANGUEDOC / FRANCE 2014 / 12.5% This light and refreshing wine is made from Picpoul Blanc, a rather unknown grape variety, producing fresh wines with citrus notes.

Bourbon is an American whiskey, a type of distilled spirit, made primarily from corn and named for Bourbon County, Kentucky. It has been produced since the 18th century
Most Canadians are blended multi-grain liquors containing a large percentage of rye, typically lighter and smoother than other whisky styles. While the use of rye is not dictated by law they are often generically referred to and may legally be labelled as "rye whisky" in Canada.
Whisky production in Japan began around 1870, but the first commercial production was in 1924, when the country's first distillery—Yamazaki—opened. Broadly speaking the style of Japanese whisky is more similar to that of Scotch whisky than Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskey is believed to be one of the earliest distilled beverages in Europe, dating to the mid-12th century. The Old Bushmills Distillery lays claim to being the oldest licensed distillery in the world since gaining a licence from James I in 1608.
St. Georges Distillery in Roudham, Norfolk began production in 2006. It produces single malt whisky. Its first whisky came onto the market in 2009 and was three years old. The grain for the whisky comes from Fakenham, the yeastcomes from Kingston upon Hull and the water comes from the Breckland.
